Veterans of the famed first African American pilots in military history, marking the 75th anniversary of their entry into WWII.

LT. COLONEL RICHARD E. COLE
Jimmy Doolittle’s co-pilot on the legendary Doolittle Raid, and the last survivor of the 80 Doolittle Raiders.

COMMANDER DEAN ‘DIZ’ LAIRD
The only ‘Ace’ pilot to have shot down both German and Japanese aircraft during WWII.

SERGEANT FIRST CLASS RONALD E. ROSSER
Recipient of the Medal of Honor for valor during the Korean War.

COLONEL FELIX RODRIGUEZ
Cuban Exile & CIA officer, flew more than 300 helicopter missions with the US Army in Vietnam; awarded the Silver Star and the CIA’s Intelligence Star.

CLINTON J. HILL
Secret Service agent who on November 22, 1963, leaped onto President Kennedy’s car to shield Mrs. Kennedy after the President had been shot.

STAFF SERGEANT SHILO HARRIS
Cavalry scout with the 10th Mountain Division in Iraq, survived an IED attack; after more than 75 surgeries, now a motivational speaker.

MAJOR KATIE HIGGINS COOK
Marine Corps aviator and the first female pilot with the famed Blue Angels.

MASTER CHIEF SPECIAL WARFARE OPERATOR EDWARD C. BYERS, JR.
U.S. Navy SEAL recipient of the Medal of Honor for valor in Afghanistan; one of two MOH recipients currently on active duty.
