Anna Mae Robertson

Anna Mae Robertson served in the Women’s Army Corps during World War II, and was assigned to the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion. The “Six Triple Eight” was the first and only all-female African American unit deployed overseas during WWII. Ms. Robertson shares her experience, along with her daughter Janice Banyard, and they reflect on the legacy of the Six Triple Eight.
