A french horn player in the U.S. Navy band, Frank was aboard the battleship USS Pennsylvania on December 7, 1941, witnessing the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. As the band played morning colors, Frank saw the first bomb drop and explode at a hangar on Ford Island. Here he shares his recollections of a morning that has stayed with him many years after.
