Over the years the AVC has built a strong relationship with Colonel Edward Shames, the last surviving officer of Easy Company, 101st Airborne Division, commonly known as the famed “Band of Brothers.” Shames parachuted into Normandy on D-Day, and witnessed combat through the end of the war.
