During the National Memorial Day Parade, AVC recognizes the contributions of our nation’s fallen heros – the true meaning of Memorial Day. Dorie Miller was awarded the Navy Cross for his selfless efforts in helping his comrades when his ship was attacked at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.
