American Veterans Center President Jim Roberts (L) presents a package of video and audio veterans oral histories to Bob Patrick, director of the Veterans History Project at the Library of Congress. The AVC was named a “founding partner” by the library.

“We value our excellent relationship with the Library of Congress,” Roberts stated , “and are proud to work with Bob Patrick and his excellent team in preserving the legacy of our veterans.”

In a related development, the American Veterans Center announced the publication of “Their Finest Hour”, a compendium of 61 veteran stories based on oral histories recorded by the AVC. The book was written by Wesley Millett and edited by AVC executive director Timothy Holbert. Gen. P.X. Kelley (USMC-RET), former commandant of the Marine Corps, provided the foreword.
