2012 National Memorial Day Parade
It is that time of year again for the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington DC. We have been hard at work at the AVC office preparing for the big day, as well as getting the new website launched. We have some great stuff planned for the event along with some special celebrity appearances.
This year’s parade will feature a very special grand finale honoring all of the OIF generation of veterans as the last of those troops return home. This tribute will feature veterans marching in the parade who served and sacrificed in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn. We have partnered with the IAVA to make this special tribute happen.
This year there are plenty of ways to support the parade, whether you plan on attending or will be 1,000 miles away:
This first thing you can do is donate to the AVC so that we can continue to produce this great event for generations to come. You can either donate online or text “VETS” to 501501 to make a $5 contribution through your mobile carrier.
