Black History Month
Over the years at AVC we have collected numerous stories of black patriots, many of whose stories have historically been overlooked. In honor of Black History Month, we have gathered various clips paying tribute to our nation’s African American heroes, from the American Revolution through today.
From heroes of the First Rhode island Regiment, to the famed Tuskegee Airmen, AVC is featuring stories of valor throughout the month of February. These stories are available here.
Additionally, we will highlight a different video sharing a heroic story on our home page every few days. In recent years AVC has collected dozens of veterans’ stories from World War II through today, many of which include black patriots. A special thanks to our nation’s African-American heroes and their dedicated service to our country.
