Remembering Col. C.V. Glines

We are sorry to note the passing of our dear friend and colleague, author and historian Col. C.V. Glines. Col. Glines served as the official historian for the Doolittle Tokyo Raiders, authoring “The Doolittle Raid: America’s Daring First Strike Against Japan.” Col. Glines also contributed to Jimmy Doolittle’s autobiography, “I Could Never Be So Lucky Again.”
The Doolittle Raiders thought so highly of Col. Glines that he was named an Honorary Doolittle Raider, in addition to serving as their official historian. Several years ago, he contributed to the AVC’s radio documentary, “America Strikes Back: The Story of the Doolittle Raid.”
