Chris Kyle: American Hero
Navy Seal Chris Kyle has received much recognition with the release of the Oscar-nominated film American Sniper. CPO Kyle has proved to be an American hero not only on the battlefield, but through his work upon returning home.
After his passing, AVC paid tribute to Kyle at the 2013 American Veterans Center Honors, recognizing his legacy during Operation Iraqi Freedom as well as the service he continued to give his country upon returning home. Here is a brief retelling of his story and a few words from his parents Wayne and Deby Kyle who accepted the award on his behalf.
