The 2014 Gen. Andrew J. Goodpaster Lecture
On June 3, the AVC awarded the Seventh Annual Andrew J. Goodpaster Prize to retired Air Force Lt. Colonel John F. Guilmartin, Jr. The Prize, presented in association with the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation, recognizes outstanding achievements by “soldier-scholars” in the mold of General Goodpaster, one of the AVC’s earliest supporters and one of the most respected officers of his generation.
The event was held at the historic Army and Navy Club in downtown Washington, DC, where Dr. Guilmartin, a decorated veteran of Vietnam, spoke on his own scholarship on the war. Visit the link below to watch Dr. Guilmartin’s remarks.
